Filming

Since Denver's drop out, we have no choice but to ditch most of our previously taken shots, and replace them with ones more relevant to our new storyline. To do this, we have to construct a new shooting schedule and try our hardest to access previous settings such as the tower. This will be difficult...Our new plot will also require us to think of alot of new shots, this will inevitably take up more precious time and hopefuly this won't mean getting behind too much. On the upside, i think i am starting to see this as an oppurtunity to further my filming ability, constructing newer, more complex shots employed by industry professionals.

Thanks to efforts before Denver left, we have designed and experimented with alot of shots we intend to use, this will mean thatwe don't have to spend too much time at settings planning and placing. This should mean that our shots will be faster than they would have been to film and that they will look better...hopefuly anyway.
We have completed some of the new filming and hope the weather holds out long enough for us to be able to construct the remaining shots. If not, this will mean re-planning shots for a third time to enable us to take them indoors or possibly not at all. I think work is needed on our shooting styles, but i think our originality is good and that we are capable of compiling a solid, creative piece. At present, filming is slow, but we are thinking hard about every shot. I feel that the quality will make up for the use of time. Our organisation is such that this should be the case from now onwards.


Since developing the shooting scedule, we have gone above and beyond what we aimed to do. We have completed almost every shot listed above, as well as creating new, spontanious & exciting shots along the way. Through greater group cohesion, we have created some much better material, and i feel that the work we are now producing both as individuals and as a whole is of a higher quality than we expected. We have begun editing some shots, and we are now beginning to piece our scattered ambitions together. Our music is set and the next thing on our to do list is place shots over it. After that, it will be a case of merely going through a quick sub-edit, then finally a scrutinous last edit, which will ensure our trailer is EXACTLY as we want it (I can see a sleepless night or two ahead, as my slightly OCD media brain will be going loopy :D).
